A plan to renovate 60 square meters on the top floor of a building in Gofukumachi, Fukuoka City from a two-family dwelling to a Japanese-style centered living space for an owner couple and their one child . A large earthen floor stretching from the entrance is the axis dividing two distinct public and private planar configurations. The earthen floor also extends to a small courtyard, creating a living space with a feel of wind and light that allows one to forget they are indoors.
