AESOP KORINBOU TOKYU SQUARE

Considered as one of the main destinations in Kanazawa is the Higashimachi chaya-gai. Known for its scenery created by the precisely made aged red colored lattice “Bengara-koshi” on the traditional buildings seen here, this area gives the visitors a sense of the detailed mentality and the elegance which is a common characteristic seen in crafts from Kanazawa. This project is inspired from these traditional sceneries inherited from the past. On the other hand Korinbo is an area which is open to new elements, we intend not to portray the classical aspect straight as it is but by maintaining the same spirit and outputting through a contemporary product. A pale coloring associated to the Bengara color and numerous slits creating the image of the traditional lattice. We aimed for a new storage/furniture to contain the sophisticated Aesop products.
