The design of the Tokyo branch of Lynn Inkoop Ltd., a company focusing on importing European lighting and building materials.
Here, we created a large table where various office situations (daily work by staffs, presentations, service table during exhibitions and parties etc.), functioning as a hub of the people there and to fulfill the functional requirements needed. The table was designed with soft curves, giving it an impression to make it easy for everyone to accept the design. The table top was made from the same material as the flooring, which is also one of the products distributed by Lynn Inkoop. By using flooring materials, we were technically capable of creating a large size single solid table top with smooth joints. The steel base of the table was designed to ease the “heaviness” which can be felt by the size of the table and to give an “openness” to the bottom. This table is also equipped with various infrastructures such as electric outlets and LAN cables.
